Founding Footsteps

Anatomic Shoes was founded with a clear idea in mind: men should never have to choose between style and comfort. Too often, traditional footwear prioritised appearance while sacrificing how a shoe actually feels after a full day of wear.

We set out to change that. From the beginning, our aim was to create footwear that combined refined design with genuine comfort — shoes that support men throughout their day, whether at work, travelling, or relaxing on the weekend.

Our Journey

Over the years, Anatomic has grown into an international footwear brand while remaining committed to the same core principles we started with: quality craftsmanship, innovative comfort technology, and thoughtful design.

Today our shoes are designed in London and produced in Brazil, a country widely recognised as one of the world’s leading centres for leather production and shoemaking expertise. Brazil’s reputation as the largest exporter of leather allows us to work with exceptional materials and highly skilled artisans who understand the craft of footwear.

Our logistics and distribution hub is located in Northampton, England — a town with over 100 years of shoemaking heritage. Being based in Northampton connects us to one of the most respected traditions in the footwear industry.

What Makes Anatomic Different

Every Anatomic shoe begins with precision. Our lasts — the form around which a shoe is built — are designed to the millimetre and available in multiple width fittings, ensuring a better and more natural fit.

Comfort is engineered into every pair through our Anatomic Gel Technology, embedded in the soles to provide flexibility, cushioning, and a subtle “memory” that adapts to the way you walk. The result is footwear that feels supportive from the first step.

We also place great emphasis on materials:

• Natural, soft leathers that mould comfortably to your feet

• Breathable sheepskin linings that can even be worn without socks

• Leather welts instead of plastic components, allowing greater flexibility

• Hand-burnished finishes that highlight the craftsmanship behind every pair

Our construction methods are equally important. Many of our shoes use the McKay stitching method, where the stitching passes through the sole itself. This technique helps create shoes that are durable, flexible, and water-tight.

Inside the shoe, you’ll find removable antibacterial insoles that are biodegradable and easily replaceable — ideal for customers who use orthotics.

All these details come together to create footwear that looks refined while delivering exceptional everyday comfort.
